Yeast infection

Hey mums anyone got off the birth control and then few weeks later had an yeast infection? I had one rn. And I'm not sure is it because I had sex a few days ago or cause I just removed my nexplanon? I googled it up and it's possible to get yeast infection after removing #Needadvice

Got a bun in the oven

Yup possible actually 😅 Hormone changes after removing Nexplanon can throw off the vaginal balance a bit, so some women do get yeast infections after stopping birth control. Sex can also trigger irritation sometimes, especially if things are a bit “off” down there already. As long as it’s the usual yeast infection symptoms (itchy, thick discharge, irritation) it’s quite common and usually treatable 😊 But if got strong smell, pain, fever or unusual discharge color then better get checked just in case it’s not yeast only!
