Watching TV/ sitting

Hi Mummy , was told that when sleeping we have to lie on the left side and don't rest on the back. But when Im watching TV, I would rest my back on the sofa to watch. Does it mean I can't sit on sofa to watch tv? I have to lie on my side to watch tv on my sofa ? How about sitting on the office chair ? Can I just rest back on the office chair ?
