Slightly higher amniotic fluid at 31weeks of pregnancy

Hi Mummies, In my last scan which in my 31st week, my gynae mentioned that the amniotic fluid level is 19 which is slightly higher at that gestational age (range is 8 to 18) The doctor mentioned to cut down on sugar and rice as more amniotic fluid will make baby float more and get into breech position ? Anyone else faced this ? Can you please share your experiences ? First time mom to be here so a bit worried! #firstbaby #advicepls

I had slightly higher amniotic fluid during pregnancy too, mummy 😊 My OB wasn't overly concerned but monitored it more closely with follow-up scans. I was also advised to watch my sugar intake and keep an eye on baby's position. In my case, the fluid level stayed stable and everything turned out fine. Try not to worry too much, 19 is only slightly above the range and your doctor is already monitoring you closely ❤️
