I think you should be able to test now. Most kits should be able to detect a pregnancy after missed period. Clearblue is more sensitive though its also expensive. Otherwise you can also buy cheapies like what I did so I could test every other day... 😅 If test is negative, can wait another 2-3 days then try testing again. Yes, blood test can also detect pregnancy cuz it tests for hcg levels in ur bloodstream.

You can try few days after missed of period. Test during first morning urine. Clearblue with +/- or with pregnant/not pregnant would work. Quite expensive. Otherwise you can try guardian/watson brand.
