A few of us in my mum circle have gone through C-sections and the rough figure we kept hearing was around $5,000 total (including baby's separate bill), with Medisave covering about $2,100, so you'd be looking at roughly $2,900-ish out of pocket in cash. Someone in my mum group mentioned that Dr Lawrence Ang is actually quite good about maximising Medisave claims where he can, so you may not end up paying as much as you fear. Do note that Medisave has its own withdrawal limits, so even if your bill is higher, there's a cap on how much you can pull out, best to check your Medisave balance beforehand and budget for some cash top-up just in case.
