Does solid food affect milk intake?

Hi mummies, would like to check as my LO milk intake declined after taking solid food especially so for now at 8mo..is this normal? My LO recently kept vomit milk too.. should i cut down his solid intake as I understand under 1 yo, milk will still be the main source of nutrient? Currently I am only feeding LO puree and the amount is half of small bowl. Thanks!

This is exactly what happened to my baby. Pd say it’s normal for milk intake to decrease once solid food is introduce. Some babies prefer solid food over milk. I always give my baby milk 2-3 hours after his solid food. It is okay if he doesn’t finish his milk.

I usually gave my LO milk 1 - 2 hours later after she had her solid food.
