KKH private gynae recommendation
Hi mummies! I'm interested to go on private route at KKH and did some research, found these few gynaes: Dr Sim Wen Shan, Dr Serene Thain and Dr Qi Maili. If you had them as your gynae, could you share your experience and if they gave you HL before delivery? Appreciate it!
One thing for mummies going via private route, if the doctor’s disciple want to check your cervix with their fingers while you are waiting for the cervix to open, you have the right to reject. I suffered pain trauma because they (different disciples) keep coming to check and I didn’t exercise my right being a private patient. You have the right to request as a patient only for the gynae to check you.

When for my checkup and told her that i cant even walk properly and in pain and requested for HL but she dismisses it and said that im still strong to go to work etc. gave birth at 32 weeks the following 2 days after the visit.

Dr Serene Thian is a very nice gynae. I didn’t ask for HL before delivery though. I started dilating at 36+6 and she told me to get admitted the following day but I preferred to be the day after that as I needed to clear my work stuff. She respected me and advised me to get admitted if my water bag bursted or started bleeding.

to get HL just say you would like to rest due to the nature of your job very exhausting she will give

pte route is basically seeing the same doctor throughout your pregnancy journey. The wait might be not very long depends on your doctor but when u do choose your private doctor some of them are popular so the queue to wait during ur appt might not be very fast as well. But having the same doctor will allow you to have your doctor to have your choice of birth plan catered to you till delivery
Yes I was with Dr Qi Mai Li this year and she is awesome and gave HL before delivery
