What does contraction feels like

Hi mummies, im gg to be 39w but yet to feel any kind of contraction. what does contraction feels like. Heard that it’s like period pain but do you only feel it at your lower tummy like normal period or the whole belly? And does your tummy feel hard during contraction like during braxton hicks? Does your vagina also feel sore like during period or it only affects the tummy ? #FTM

Similar to Braxton hicks but contraction comes more frequently like every 10-15 mins I guess. Ur back should hurt too unlike Braxton hicks. For me I had sharp back pains and intense period like cramps. Pain gets worse and worse as time goes.

I felt only at the lower tummy and not the whole belly, it was persistent cramp like pain that lasted for 1-2 minutes.

It varies. Mine was at the tailbone where the pain comes n go. My tummy felt ok tbh
