#ftm crib vs playpen

Hi mummies! I'm a ftm so need your advise pls.. For new born will you rather get a Side Sleeping Crib or a Playpen? Thank you!

Baby cots that can remove the top part for when they grow old enough to start climbing. I also bought a Playpen for baby to crawl around with her toys.
