Distinguish discharge and mucus plug

Hi mummies, I’m currently week 36 and experiencing an increase in discharge (brownish colour). I had an episode of bleeding last week, though doctor monitored everything was ok, but I have been spotting since then. Just wondering how to differentiate a discharge vs mucus plug? #FTM

If its a bloody show, there'll be accompanying jelly-like discharge tt looks like snot or mucus, and tinged with brown or red. it doesn't sound like you're seeing this texture.

What did the doc say? Did the doc say its mucus plug or bloody show ?

Maybe you should go back to hospital again? Cause there have to be an answer for this if doc say its not mucus plug or early sign of labor.
