pain when breastpumping

Hi mummies! I'm currently using Philips avent breastpump and often find pain when pumping. My nipple size is 13mm and the flange size of the pump is the smallest of 19.5mm. I went to seek advice from lactation consultant too and she advised me to pump 2 mins stimulation mode and 5 mins suction mode and massage the breast and repeat. However, it is so painful till I cant go into the stimulation mode at all. Any mummy experience this before?
