Need help!!

Hi mummies! đŸ€ I'm currently pregnant and for the past few weeks, my eyes have been feeling really dry and gritty. Sometimes they get so uncomfortable that I just want to keep them closed. 😅 I read that pregnancy hormones can cause dry eyes, but I wanted to ask if any other mums have experienced the same thing. Did your dry eyes get better as your pregnancy went on, or did they stay the same until after you gave birth? Did you end up seeing an optometrist or an eye doctor while you were pregnant, and was it safe? Also, were there any eye drops or simple remedies that helped and were safe to use during pregnancy? I'd really appreciate hearing your experiences. Being pregnant already comes with so many changes, so I'm hoping this is something other mums can relate to. Thank you so much! đŸ€

I experienced dry eyes during pregnancy too, especially in the second trimester. My optometrist said hormonal changes can definitely contribute. Using preservative-free artificial tears, staying well hydrated, and taking regular breaks from screens helped a lot. My symptoms improved after I gave birth. If your discomfort is severe or you notice blurred vision, pain, or sudden vision changes, it's a good idea to see an eye care professional or your obstetrician to make sure everything is okay. Wishing you a comfortable and healthy pregnancy! [LINK REMOVED]
