Covid Positive

Hi mummies. I’m 11 weeks pregnant and just checked that I’m covid positive. It’s my first time for both being pregnant and getting covid. Should I go to NUH A&E or should I just listen to my tele consult doctor and just stay home and recuperate. I’m worried about the pregnancy.

I had my first Covid at 20 weeks as a FTM. Called my gynae and she said if my symptoms are mild (ie no breathlessness or high fever), then I can just stay home and recover, and that there’s no cause of concern for baby or mum. I would suggest calling your gynae instead of just a tele consult doc, as your gynae is more specialised and also aware of your current condition and needs. My gynae also said that it’s pregnancy safe to take regular flu meds like paracetamol and Zyrtec to keep my flu symptoms at bay but I chose not to as my symptoms were fairly mild. I just did lots of water, fruits and rest. I am now 32 weeks and baby has been just fine last few visits since covid. Feel better soon mama! And at least baby has extra antibodies! ❤️
