Medicine @ hospital for milk supply

Hi mummies, i read that gynae may give us supplement (fenugreek i think) for our milk supply after delivery/lactation during our hospital stay if we really dont have milk. After consuming will milk come out slowly and will we be engorged afterwards, during the hospital stay ? #FTM

fenugreek is a supplement that may or may not work, differs individually. I was given 2 big bottles by the obgyn cos I suffered low supply for my first kid. the fenugreek did help a little, but most important, I feel, is to let the baby latch (correct position).

Hi I consumed the medicines that my gynae gave me and there was no engorgement at all. It helped with the milk supply too. You can stop them once your milk supply stabilises Hope this helps

fenugreek may not work for everyone, may even lessen milk supply. the milk will likely kick in only post discharge.
