Someone in my mum group mentioned that vacuum-sealing the decanted portion (rather than freezing) works better for extending shelf life, since it removes the air that causes the powder to degrade faster. That said, there's a real trade-off: the more you handle and transfer the powder between containers, the more you risk introducing moisture or contamination, so your hygiene and storage conditions matter a lot. It's worth checking with your PD or a pharmacist too, since formula shelf life guidelines exist for good reason and what works for one brand may not apply to another.
