Haha same here — mine cries every time too, like someone’s bullying my LO. Washing the body is totally fine, but the moment water touches the face or head, it’s instant screaming and crying 😅. my LO always end up negotiating with my helper to wash body only. The only thing that works is getting daddy to shower with him so it becomes fun — they play with the water and help wash each other’s backs, and he doesn’t scream like crazy anymore. He’ll even wash himself sometimes. But since his daddy has to work and isn’t always around, it only happens on off days haha. Otherwise no choice, just let him scream as long as he gets his shower done.😅
if it makes u feel better, my 2.5 YO is also the same haha. I ended up letting him choose toys to bring into the shower, so the majority of his toy vehicles have gotten wet at some pt 😅 I close both eyes, as long as those toys arent battery operated, i allow most of the toys he asked for.
I think all kids go thru that phase in life.. i have 3 kids n all cried bloody murder during shower time.. literally tried everything on earth but they jus wanna behave like acid is pouring down thier body.. then suddenly they slow down n they eventually stop..
oh my oldest son is like that , my husband brought a small swimming pool for him to like shower🤣
I bought lots of different bath soaps - the finger paint soaps were a particular hit in our home
We also introduced body scrubs as I realised my kid likes sensory things
