Membrane sweep, 39w 3 days

Hi mummies. I had my membrane sweep in the morning, and doc told me i will bleed a bit. But, i am still bleeding tonight but its not really bloody, like patches bleeding when i pee and look at the toilet bowl. Is this normal? But i dont feel pain/have contraction. What will happen after this? This is my second pregnancy. For my first one, my waterbag didnt burst and no mucus plug as well. I dont know what to expect for this second one 😅

Some light spotting or pinkish discharge after a membrane sweep is pretty common, so what you're describing doesn't sound too alarming! Every pregnancy really can be so different from the last, so even though your first one went a certain way, this one might surprise you. That said, since the bleeding has been going on since morning and you're unsure what's normal, I'd still recommend calling your gynae or delivery suite tonight just to let them know — better to check and have peace of mind, especially when you're so close to your due date. They're used to these calls and will tell you if you need to go in!

Aiyo don't worry lah, the light bleeding after membrane sweep is quite normal one! My friend just went through the same thing last month and she also had that pinkish/patchy bleeding when she pee for almost the whole day after her sweep, her gynae told her it's expected because they're basically disturbing the area around the cervix.
