Hi mummies, i am a few months post partum, as i went thru traumatic e-csect, i was thinking of getting copper iud as contraceptive method.
However i read quite alot eventually still got pregnant with iud. Noted that all contraceptive are not 100% preventive.
Can mummies whos been on copper iud share your experience while on it:
is it painful during insertion, when its inside you etc
- will it be painful when doing intercouse
- Side effects: hair loss, weight gain, period, mood, pimples etc
- period still regular? And is it extra heavy?
- does it affect fertility after removing
- do you still use protection when on contraceptive?
