I am currently 8 to 9 weeks pregnant and have already experienced peace and vomiting days. Despite wanting to eat, on the day I vomited, I had no appetite. I ate my regular meals on a peaceful day. I have no trouble swallowing the tiny folic acid pill. However, I won't eat folic acid in the morning if I feel like I'm going to throw up when I get up.

I am now in week 10. You are not alone. I have stopped taking my folic acid because it disturbs my stomach and makes me nauseous. And yes, my food aversions are getting worse too! The thought of certain food makes me feel like vomiting. They say it gets better in 1 or 2 weeks. Hoping for the better :)

I wish I could stop taking folic acid but my gynae says I need to continue. Thank you for sharing too!

I have difficulty swallowing pills too! So I got a pill grinder and grinded the folic acid down to dust, then mixed it w a little water and drink it down as fast as I can. That being said, sometimes it’s really the inertia and I wanna puke while drinking that. But it helps most of the time!

Ooh this is another method that I was thinking to try it out to see if it helps 😅 But recently my nausea got worse and I puke very easily. Like even a slight cough and a sip of water can trigger me to puke :(

i am currently 12 weeks and have been eating the folic acid in the morning. i have issues swallowing pills too! but the tiny ones are ok for me. i am feeling scared of the next capsule form of multi vitamins which need to be taken for trim2. not sure if i can just bite it 😅

yes tbh the size of the folic acid is really small but i just can’t seem to swallow it properly. it always feels like it’s “stuck” halfway in my throat and that makes me uncomfortable. 🤢 i am also not looking forward to eating more supplements. i’m gna have a hard time 😭

Hi, I also have difficulty swallowing pills. During my first trimester was also nauseous. I bought Olly prenatal folic acid + DHA it’s a gummy and it really helps.
