Hi mummies, can i check if anyone seen De Ben before? How is he? I’ve heard that he doesnt usually perform routine blood test until week 12 together with the down syndrome test. Which means that for the first 2 appt, no blood test is taken just scan? Is that correct? Also at which week should i Start looking for gynae? Thanks!!

I haven't seen Dr Ben personally, but a friend of mine did and she said he was quite thorough and patient during consultations, never made her feel rushed even when she had lots of questions. On the blood test timing, different gynae do have different approaches, so it is worth just calling his clinic to confirm what his usual protocol is before you book, so you know what to expect at each visit. Most mummies I know start looking for a gynae around week 6 to 8, early enough to get that first scan done but not so late that you are scrambling for an appointment.
