Just Mums

When do I know.

Hey mummies! How do I identify that it’s ok for my baby boy to sleep thru and only feeds him when he is awake and wants the milk. I’m only asking as when I was in hospital the Nurses mentioned to me to wake my baby up for feeding with a gap of 3hrs in between each feed. He is coming to 1 month old now.

When lo is abit older. Depends also. Some babies 3-4 months old can stretch 4-5 hourly. Some babies 5-6 months old can stretch 4-6 hourly. Some may have to dream feed cos mommies worry dehydration or due to not putting on weight or auto 3-4 hourly wants milk. Ideally 6 months n above for sleeping solid 6-7 hours. You may need to observe also. Now lo coming to 1 month , need to drink milk every 2-3 hourly. If not will dehydrated, will have issue with poo n urine.
