Hi there, some sources say that blueberries are safe after baby turns 6 months while some prefer to wait till they turn a year old. At least, here in Sweden (where I am currently living), babies are given blueberries (in the form of purees or unsweetened home made jams) as a complement to their oatmeal, yogurt or pancakes. If you are worried, you can try to give baby a little taste and gradually increase. Keep a lookout for any allergies or reactions. If you are really really wary, just wait till baby turns a year old. http://www.livestrong.com/article/1002342-safe-baby-eat-blueberries/

You can try to follow the recipes in this article: http://wholesomebabyfood.momtastic.com/blueberrybabyfoodrecipes.htm The simplest is the first one which is the Stewed Blueberry Puree. Add blueberries into boiling water and simmer for 15 mins or so. Transfer the blueberries into blender/food processor and puree. Cereal could be added for thicker texture.

I didnt puree the blueberries as they are pretty small in sizes. All i do is to ensure my hands are clean and i will peel off the skin. Mashes the berries with a spoon and feed my baby! He loves it!!

Thanks all
