Congrats on your first pregnancy! From what I've heard around, a few names come up quite often for TMC, Dr Chan Shaw Yan and Dr Paul are both mentioned positively, and my neighbour who delivered at Thomson said Dr Chan was very calm and reassuring, which really helped her relax before the epidural. One tip that came with that, apparently inhaling laughing gas before the epidural goes in does help take the edge off, so don't be shy to ask for it. I haven't heard strong complaints about the anaesthesiologists there generally, more that experiences can vary depending on who's on call, so it might be worth requesting your preferred doctor in advance rather than leaving it to chance. Overall the feedback leans positive, just good to go in with a name or two ready so you feel more settled.
