Active HG support group in SG?

Hi Mummies, #firsttimemama here who has been diagnosed with #HyperemesisGravidarum at 8 weeks and have already had to get IV treatment at KKH. Thankfully, I’ve a gynae who has been very supportive and have been prescribed medicine. Wondering if there is an active HG support group in SG? I don’t have many mums in my social circle, and the isolation from being confined to my bed/toilet out of necessity and the constant state of feeling unwell is getting to me a bit. My husband is a gem but has generally had to stay away because the smell of him has become a trigger, and it’s very exhausting having to explain the condition to close family and friends repeatedly. I know it will pass eventually but am trying to find ways to stay positive for myself and baby through it. Thank you!

HG can be so much harder than people expect, and it sounds like you’ve been carrying a lot even with support around you. I’m not sure of a dedicated HG support group here, but SG mummy communities can be a nice place to connect, and it may also be worth asking your KKH team about counselling support because the emotional side of HG is very real too, hang in there mum 💛
