Membrane Sweep

Hi mummies, any experience with membrane sweep? Was is effective? 38 weeks now and visiting gynae in 4 days. Gynae want to induce at 39 weeks as I have diabetes. Hoping a membrane sweep will help kickstart the labour instead

It depends on individual. I was given swep at 40 weeks but no signs of birth hence have to be induce a week later. Give birth 41 weeks 1 day, this is for first child. The sweep is given to help loosen amniotic fluid so it trigger the waterbag to burst and ready for labour.
