Maternity starts

Hi mummies. My due date is on 15th April. Just wanna check when did you all applied for maternity at work? I would like to start mine on the start of March. Is it too early? Can i check with the gynae if its okay? We will need the letter from the gynae before it’s approved right? #1stimemom #bantusharing #advicepls #firsttiimemom

maternity leave can be taken up to 4 weeks before delivery. i dont think you need a gynae letter for this, as long as there's mutual agreement with your employer. you can use the maternity leave calculator on the MOM website as a guide. if not mistaken, once you and your boss are agreeable on the arrangements, you can submit the maternity leave form to your HR from the beginning of your maternity leave.
