Blood Thinner

hi mummies,my doctor has advised me to go on blood thinner cause my 1st born was only 2.2kg at birth and he wants to make sure that my 2nd will gain a little bit of weight etc and he also advised me to take the down syndrome test (didn't take for the first) so I wanna know if I take the blood thinner what are the pros and cons of it.
