Starting on solids

Hi mummies and daddies, My LO is turning 6 months in a few weeks, am thinking to start solids soon but I have no idea how I'm supposed to do it. What should I give and how much should I give? In need of advices please

steam and puree a vegetable or fruit to start. or buy a baby cereal that can mix with milk
