Aiyo girl, hang in there, my friend also went through this around 35 weeks and she told me it was honestly the most confusing and exhausting thing because every time the contractions picked up she thought "this is it!" then it just... fizzled out lah. Someone in my mum WhatsApp group mentioned her prodromal labour dragged on for almost two weeks before actual labour kicked in properly, so there's really no fixed timeline, some mummies it's a few days, some it's longer, shiong I know. The honest truth is, a few of them said by the time real labour came, it actually progressed quite fast, like my neighbour's sister was already so "warmed up" that she went from consistent contractions to delivered in maybe 6-7 hours, so at least got that silver lining! But I won't sugarcoat, the waiting and not knowing really wears you down mentally and physically, so please rest as much as you can between contractions and don't try to hero through it alone. Definitely still worth checking in with your gynae or the triage team again if the contractions get more regular or you feel anything unusual, especially since you're still a bit early, better let them monitor closely!

thank you so much! this means a lot to me , currently back at the hosp because of gastric pain that progressed into contractions , cervix was opened & dilated till 4cm & something lining was thinning already . this time contracted longer , bt the moment the pain was managable again , they sent me up to ward for observation . contractions still come & go as of 5:30pm & tmr i'll be 36 weeks ! doct said if i progress further they'll might decisions to help me give birth tmr

I went through something similar with my second pregnancy. I had irregular contractions for almost 2 weeks before actual labour 😅 They would get consistent, then suddenly stop. When labour finally started, the contractions became much stronger and didn’t go away with rest. Hang in there mums, baby might still be taking their sweet time ❤️
