Oh dear, please don't stress too much but also don't ignore this, at 35 weeks you really want to get checked out by your gynae or O&G specialist as soon as possible, because from what I've generally heard, HFMD in the third trimester does carry some real risks like preterm complications or in very rare and serious cases, worse outcomes for the baby. The sores and throat soreness can also apparently be quite severe for adults compared to kids, so it's not just a mild thing to wait out. A friend of mine actually mentioned that her doctor monitored her closely when there was a similar exposure scare late in her pregnancy, and that extra monitoring really helped put her mind at ease. The key is really not to self-diagnose or worry yourself into a spiral, just get a professional to assess you properly and advise on what to watch for. Better to go in and be reassured than to wait and wonder, especially this close to your due date.
