2 weeks and baby’s umbilical cord stump has not fallen

Hi Mummies, My baby is 14 days old today and the umbilical cord stump has still not fallen Attaching the photo of how it looks currently. Is it normal for the stump to not fall yet ? By when it shall fall off ? #advicepls #firstbaby

Young mummy of two beautiful girls Loves to travel, ✈

It will dry off and slowly drop off by itself. Meantime just clean the area with cotton wool and damp it a little. Not too wet. Always ensure to keep it dry. If it comes to a month(hopefully not) not fallen off, do seek advice soon from doctor/nurse.

My baby’s cord dropped only after 14 days. It looks normal. Just keep it dry always. It will drop!
