Natural delivery - Are husband allow to cut umbilical cord

Hello Mummies, anyone of you had gone through normal delivery and may I know if husband is given the chance to cut the umbilical cord? Thanks! I’ll be delivering at TMC

Yes they’re allowed to, but you’ll need to let the doctor and midwife know beforehand. Also, if there turns out to be an emergency during the delivery where either your’s or baby’s life is in danger, then your husband will not cut the cord as time is of the essence
