House rental procedure - want to move out from in laws

Hi mummies, abit not related either baby. But has anyone rented a flat while waiting for BTO? Or just rent a flat in general. We got a ballot number, but still waiting for the flat selection appointment which idk when. Which means ill be staying at my in laws more or less 5 more years. I dont think i can tahan, i just want to move out asap. She’s toxic. Anyone knows whats the procedure, do i need an agent or can go to a specific website to view houses, details etc. how much did you pay for your rent monthly and how many rooms? Preferably in the east as me and husband working in the east, baby’s ifc also in the east. All in bedok.

You can browse listings directly on PropertyGuru or [LINK REMOVED] to get a sense of pricing and availability without needing an agent first. For a 3-room in the east around Bedok area, last I checked my friend was paying around $2,200 to $2,500 a month, though it really depends on the block and condition of the unit lah.
