Baby sleeping temperature

My mother in law insists that my swaddled baby of 2 weeks cannot have a fan blowing directly, in addition, hands and legs must be covered in case they get cold (even in the hot afternoon) . I read that the best temperature range for sleeping babies is something like 23 to 25 deg celcius. We sleep in the same room as the baby and we are warm and perspire in the night and I am worried the baby is overheating. We didn't see any heat rash on the baby so should I assume its alright?

in the day/hot afternoons, best to swaddle with thin material like muslin. for evening better to wrap up cos the environment temperature drops. check if baby is sweating, back of the neck and if clothes damp. if not it’s fine
