Negative urine test but pregnant?

Hello mommies and mommies to be, Just wondering if u have experienced a negative urine home pregnancy test and went on to have a positive blood test/are pregnant? What happened? My period is late for 5 days but preg test shows negative. So weird to have symptoms of early pregnancy but keep having negative results.

Maybe you’re still too early into your pregnancy that it’s hard to detect. I was sorta opposite from you. I went to the GP who did a urine test for me (even sent it to the lab) and came back negative. A week later, I tested with OTC pregnancy kit and showed I was pregnant. Went to my gynae to do a transvaginal scan to confirm my pregnancy and indeed I was 5 weeks pregnant at that time so the first time I was at the GP was about 3 weeks preg and too early to detect.
