Hello mommies! Kasi may officemate ako na nanganak recently (employed syempre with SSS and Philhealth). So Basically if may Philhealth mababawasan bill nya, then sabi nya nag zero bill pa daw sya kasi nilapit sa malasakit ang need lang is Indigency from Brgy. Ang question ko is, pwede pala yun ung mbbawasan ung bill mo since bayad ung philhealth mo dahil currently employed, then mazezero dahil sa indigency from Barangay. May mga nakatry napo ba? Sorry wala akong idea sa mga gov't benefits and assistance. Thank you!

Yes, totoo yan! A few of us tried din and nakuha namin zero bill kasi Philhealth covers most, tapos yung balance ay covered ng barangay assistance, pero kailangan talaga ng indigency cert from your barangay, so best to get that ASAP bago mag-discharge ang officemate mo kasi mas mahirap after. Your friend should check din kung may additional programs ang hospital (like charity funds) because some private hospitals may additional discounts on top pa, pero yung Philhealth + indigency combo talaga ang game-changer dito!
