pregnancy check up

Hi mommies, may I know 1) how frequent are your check ups during pregnancy (subsidised hosp) ? monthly or every 2-3 months? 2)and if I have a bad constipation despite eating prunes, fruits, veggies and drinking so much water can I just go to normal polyclinic to ask for medication since my appt w my gynae is still in 3 months time?
