How to convince hub to try for second kid?

Hi mommies Our first one is almost 3 yo now. I really want to try for the second one but my husband is against it. He is only child and he doesn't care if our kid will be lonely. I have sibling so I think it is very important for our girl to have someone to talk to when she is older. How to convince him to have another one? Ps he is very stubborn and every time I bring up this topic he will get mad.
