32 weeks pregnant

Hello mamsh. I’m worried kasi I am 5 days late for my check up. Supposedly on June 16th pero hindi natuloy. Alam ko na these weeks dapat weekly na ang check ups right. And also my OB is monitoring mg blood sugar since I am GDM. I’m worried about my baby. :’( wala pa kasi sweldo si daddy kaya hindi pa makapagpacheck. I can feel the baby naman, moving, active and strong. But does it affect us if late na makapag pacheck??? Thank you so much. #FTM #pleasehelp #firstbaby #32weeks_preggy

Ay, I totally understand ang worry mo, mama. Honestly, a few of us with GDM sa 32 weeks were also anxious about timing, pero ang good news is, kung baby is moving actively and strong na parang sayo, that's already a very good sign. Five days late is not ideal, I know, pero just reaching out to your OB kahit brief call or text muna to update them about your symptoms can help, at least they'll advise if kailangan ng emergency check or if kaya pa wait a few more days with monitoring at home. The thing about GDM is, your body's pregnancy hormones just make it harder para ma-process ang sugar efficiently, kaya walang ingat kailangan sa diet habang nag-aantay ng check-up. Eating small, regular meals with protein at avoiding sugary drinks really helps control it even before the appointment. One of my mum friends swore na consistent meals (parang 3 meals + 2 snacks) at staying active kept her baby healthy even between appointments, pero of course, once makaka-check na kayo, that's when you get the full picture with blood sugar tests at baby's weight monitoring. Definitely touch base with your OB as soon as possible though, mama, just para sa peace of mind ninyo and to get their specific guidance for your situation. You're doing great, at ang active baby mo is reassuring.
