My LO is 3 mths old and sometimes her cries and screams are very loud and piercing. My hubby said that it's irritating and it hurts me. Am I being overly sensitive about his comment?
Its a way of them saying ''Mummy/Daddy, please help me!" I also admit sometimes their piercing cries can be quite irritating to my hubby because he is the sole breadwinner and needs full 8 hours sleep without disturbance. Husbands tend to say hurtful words to their wifes, so just one ear in and one ear out. It will be different if they are the ones handling their babies. >_< No choice but to hang in there. This phase will soon be over.

Just let the comment pass . It is very tiring during the new born period for both of you. My husband used to say "he so noisy , ask him keep quiet" but I will reply " just like you
Read moreI have to agree that the screaming sometimes might be hurtful to the ears but of course we can't control babies from crying am I right? Maybe you would like to suggest to bring him for some parenting talk or Counselling? Like that he would understand better on babies and it's really normal for baby to cry and scream.

This is very common normally you have to find out what's causing baby to cry like hungry, diaper wet, not enough sleep, stomach bloatiness or wear too much ..just take it easy and don't stress yourself
My Son cries like screaming too, like scream through the ears too. It's very common, they just want get attention and get what they want, maybe ur LO voice belong to the slightly louder side.
Hubbies are usually more insensitive to baby stuffs especially if he's a first time daddy. Give him time to get used to it whereas talking to him on the topic helps too.
When husband asked me to tune down the level of my daughter's scream, I asked him for a screwdriver. He did not bring it up ever again.
