39w + 3 and no signs of labor

Hi ladies! I’m currently 39w + 3 and no signs of labor yet. Getting a little worried but gynae assured me that all is well - baby head is down and engaged but needs to be a bit more as he is near the bladder now and she wants him even lower. She also mentioned that baby’s face is turned toward my belly (basically sunny side up) and she wants him to face my back. I do get the occasional tightening and false contractions but no regular contractions so far. Any tips and tricks? This is my first baby, heard it’ll usually take longer for baby to be out but I’m so exhausted already 🥲

It really depends on individual body…not everyone experience a long labour for first child. I induced my first born on 39+4 as she was getting a little too big. The whole process took me 6hrs from breaking of water bag till baby is out. Maybe u can try to walk more everyday? Is good to some morning sun too. I take a 30-40mins walk in the park and do light stretching exercise for 10-15mins everyday in the last trimester. U can search youtube videos for prenatal stretching exercise/gentle yoga movements to help open up the pelvic muscle

Wishing you smooth delivery and all the best! Just be patient and wait for your baby’s arrival. Your body will know when it’s the time. Try to get more sleep now because you won’t be able to sleep much after that. And just follow your gynae’s advice if any!
