The general picture I've gathered is that public hospitals like KKH or SGH work out much cheaper once government co-funding kicks in, subsidised cycles can bring your out-of-pocket cost down to roughly $1,800 to $3,000 per try, compared to private which can run $10,000 to $20,000 per cycle depending on how much medication and how many procedures you need. The trade-off is that public tends to have longer waiting times and you may see different doctors each visit, whereas private gives you more continuity but at a steeper price. Co-funding also covers up to 3 fresh and 3 frozen cycles, but at least one of you needs to be a Singapore Citizen at the start of the cycle to qualify. My neighbour went through KKH and said the wait was real but she felt the cost savings made it worth it for them. So honestly it depends on how you weigh cost versus convenience and timeline, both routes can work, just different trade-offs.
