Csect Kkh Vs NUH

Hi ladies, can i check whether is it true that in NUH hospital the husband can come in to witness the Csect procedure? I heard one mummy's experience in NUH about her emergency csect and her husband was allowed to go in. I know that husbands are not allowed to accompany the wife if she had to go in emergency Csect in Kkh. And if it is true, why is it so? Any ideas?

Wah this one quite good question leh, I also was wondering the same thing when I was planning! So from what I heard, for KKH it depends on whether elective or emergency, my friend went to KKH for her planned csect and said her husband could go in, but only because she was Ward A, so got a bit more flexibility there. NUH side seems a bit different, my neighbour brought her baby there and said the whole experience felt quite family-centred, like they actually encouraged the husband to be involved, even got skin-to-skin for daddy after delivery. But then again, I think emergency versus elective also plays a big role anywhere la, because when it's emergency the doctors need to move fast and cannot be accommodating guests in the OT.
