first time considering rhinoplasty, where should i start?

I’ve been thinking about getting rhinoplasty for a while now, but I’ve never had any cosmetic surgery before so I’m honestly not sure where to start. I’m based in Singapore and have been looking at a few doctors, but there are so many options that I’m getting a bit confused 😅 For those who’ve actually gone through the rhinoplasty journey here, how was your experience from the consultation to recovery? What should I look out for when choosing a doctor, and is there anyone you’d personally recommend?

Honestly, this is such a personal decision and I'd say the biggest thing is finding a surgeon you really trust, so maybe start by getting consultations with a few different doctors rather than trying to decide from online reviews alone. From what I hear from friends who've done it, you want someone who listens to what you actually want (not just what they think looks good) and shows you before-and-after photos of their own work. Recovery-wise, most people say the first week or two is the toughest with swelling and bruising, so plan your time off work accordingly. I'd also check if they're registered with the Singapore Medical Council and ask about their specific experience with the type of nose shape you have. Maybe start by asking your GP for a referral or checking out reputable aesthetic clinics in Singapore, since that personal recommendation route often gives you more confidence going in.
