As with all herbs, in moderation, saffron is safe and beneficial during pregnancy. It can moderate mood swings, regulate blood pressure, aid in digestion, curb morning sickness and much more. It contains nutrients such as thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, Vitamin A and C as well as folic acid which are essential for you and your baby’s health. You can add a few strands of saffron to your meals daily; a popular way being adding it to milk. That being said, it might not agree with everyone and there could be negative side effects like allergies and vomiting.
