Non stop latching by infant

My infant latch non stop throughout the night. The moment we stop she cried. Is it normal? It’s like she is never enough

My baby can do that too. They latch for milk at first, then the rest of the time, they latch for comfort. You can tell the difference in the way they’re sucking. Sometimes baby is latched without even sucking. To slowly wean off, I wait for her to go from proper suckling to “sleep latching”, then I slowly unlatch her gently, but still keep her on me. If she wakes up and becomes fretful, I latch her back on, then repeat the above steps again. When she reaches the point where she stays asleep, I keep her on me for a little while more before I transfer her to the bed. My baby’s the kind that wakes up at the slightest movement/sound/trigger, so sleep training has been really hard. But I am seeing some progress😊
