Dr Manisha Mathur (KKH) or Dr Biswas (NUH)?

In a little pickle and can't seem to decide between these two gynaes. I'm ftm. I'm looking for gynae who is pro natural and empathetic. My pain tolerance is bad and I'm worried I may get panic attack in labour room (no judgement pls). I would like to avoid c sec unless its really necessary and I've heard alot of KKH not being as pro natural as NUH, hence the back and forth. So far my pregnancy is low risk but I've yet to do detailed scan. I've not met either gynae yet. NUH is closer to my home by 10 mins as compared to KKH. I was initially keen to take Prof su from NUH but she's not available on my edd. Any mums could share experience with either gynae pls.

I really feel you on this, being a first-time mum and already thinking so carefully about your birth experience shows how much heart you're putting into this, and that anxiety about the labour room is so valid and understandable. I haven't personally seen either of these two doctors, but since NUH is closer to home and you were already leaning that way, that proximity can actually matter more than you think when you're heavily pregnant or in early labour. My honest suggestion would be to book a first consult with Dr Biswas and just have an open conversation about your birth preferences and your anxiety, because how a gynae responds to that very first honest chat tells you a lot about whether they're the right fit for you lah.
