Can husband be in the same room during csection

I'm just wondering, does sgh allow our husband to be in the same room with us during csection? In my first pregnancy, I had an emergency csection. They didn't allow my husband into the room. Is it because it's an emergency? I've heard other hospitals their husband was together in the delivery room during a csection.
