You can choose to wait if you can endure. Alternatively to induce. However, your pain tolerance level has to be high as induce is painful esp when contractions kicks in. Induce can be very long if you are not dilating. Hence, you will also need other birth plan in mind if it is taking too long. Example: c section, birth assisted delivery like forceps, vacuum suction. This is to make sure you are well prep in mind and despite whatever happened you know what you want. Based on my experience, first child I hold pregnancy for extra 1 week and only induce at 41 weeks before giving birth next day.
