I had this too around mid-pregnancy and it turned out to be carpal tunnel, which can happen earlier for some of us due to hormonal changes and fluid retention. The night pain is really disruptive I know, so might be good to mention it to your PD or gynae at your next visit just to confirm what's going on. In the meantime, some mums find that wearing a wrist splint at night helps take pressure off, and doing gentle stretches during the day makes a difference. Hopefully it settles down for you soon, but best to get it checked out just to be safe.
